The Bulgaria Super League, officially known as the First Professional Football League, is the top tier of Bulgarian football. Established in 1924, it features 14 teams competing in a round-robin format followed by championship and relegation playoffs.
Popular clubs include Ludogorets Razgrad, CSKA Sofia, and Levski Sofia, with Ludogorets dominating recent seasons. The league operates from July to May, with teams playing 36 matches each. The bottom two teams are relegated to the Second League.
