Halsey is carrying on with her Back to Badlands tour, even after a sudden health scare.

She posted a photo on Instagram wearing a towel around her head and admitted, “Boston I\“m gonna be honest with ya, after the show last night I was in the ER till 6 this morning.”
She didn’t go into detail about the “minor medical emergency,” but reassured fans, writing that she’s “A-Okay now and ready to rock tonight!”
She explained she may take things slower onstage and thanked the doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital, calling them “the absolute best team I\“ve ever met,” before hyping the second show, “LETS ROCK TONIGHT!”
Her determination comes as she continues to balance life on the road with long-standing health challenges.
A few weeks earlier, Halsey opened up on TikTok about recent treatment for lupus and T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder.
“Just did another few sessions of chemo,” she shared on Sept. 25, adding that she had “a new port placed.” She also showed bandages on her chest where the port was inserted to support the treatments.
Despite all of this, she launched her Back to Badlands Tour in mid-October, marking the 10th anniversary of her debut album, Badlands.
She kicked things off with the first of three sold-out shows at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on October 14, performing early favourites and other notable songs.
The tour will move through New York, Toronto, London, Paris and Sydney.
But touring isn’t the only battle she’s facing. Halsey is also dealing with label issues.
In a conversation with Zane Lowe, she said she’s currently blocked from releasing new music.
“I can’t make an album right now. I’m not allowed to,” she revealed, referencing how her 2024 project The Great Impersonator was received. According to her, it sold 100,000 copies in its first week, a number she felt was strong, but added that the label expected “Manic numbers.”
She pushed back on the comparison, saying, “If my record comes out and sells 100,000 copies first week with no radio play, no real support, and the comparison is, why isn’t she doing Taylor Swift numbers? Are you f–king kidding me?”
She defended the work further, also noting, “I made an experimental concept album about how I almost f–king died... To the other types of artists who are making the type of music that I am making, I’m f–king killing it.”
Even with career hurdles and personal health struggles, Halsey remains committed to her music and her fans.
And as she continues her tour, audiences are rallying behind her resiliency, something she’s showing onstage night after night. |
