Keira Knightley admits she never watched herself in THIS movie: Here’s why
Keira Knightley has recently confessed she isn’t interested to watch her movies that she’s starred in.
While speaking on BBC Radio 2’s The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on November 3, the Woman in Cabin 10 actress shares her real reason for not watching her own movies. Advertisement
“It\“s funny because my relationship with a piece of work is obviously different from people viewing it,” says the 40-year-old.
Keira noted that some classic movies have become people\“s favorites and they watch them again and again and again and again.
As far as the actress is concerned, she opens up that either she hasn’t watched them or has watched them once.
Sharing her reason, Keira mentioned, “It\“s not a particularly lovely experience watching your own face back at you… It\“s very strange.” 
When Scott asked, “Have you ever seen Pirates of the Caribbean?”
To which, the Atonement actress replies, “I have never seen the third one, I saw the second one at the premiere, but I have never seen the third one.”
“I just feel there’s too much face. There\“s just such a lot of face. Really close up, large face… It\“s just, nobody needs to see that,” quipped Keira.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Black Doves actress also discloses that she “struggles” to remember her roles because she doesn’t watch her work.
“Quite a lot of people I know never watch their own and so I am more on that side than anything else,” points out Keira.
Therefore, the Bend it like Beckham actress states she does “forget them and it’s quite funny now when people come up to me and talk about movies they know really, very well and I am very definitely there and I am very definitely in them”.
Meanwhile, Keira finally adds that she has only seen “Love Actually once”.
“I saw it at the premiere and I have never seen it. I think I was eighteen. So, over twenty years ago I saw Love Actually,” concluded the actress. |
