Andrew to reject King Charles generous offer with bold move
The former Duke of York is packing his bags as he finally received a formal notice to give up his 75-year lease on Royal Lodge and find another accommodation.
While previous reports have indicated that King Charles’s disgraced brother will be moved to Sandringham estate, since it is privately owned by the monarch, Andrew is not yet ready to downgrade on his luxurious, especially under the probing eyes of the press. Advertisement
Last week, following the officially announcement by Buckingham Palace, reports emerged that Andrew will be moved to a private residence in Sandringham, although royal experts believe that may not be the cause, according to The Sun.
Given the public image of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, it is unlikely that he would be able to move around in the UK freely let alone enjoy the luxuries he was accustomed to in his royal life. Despite the seriousness of the allegations against Andrew, Charles had still been willing to help his brother with a kind and generous offer.
Although, according to the new report, the shamed royal has set his sights on Abu Dhabi, where he has a much more generous offer than his brother awaiting him.
Andrew has a friendship with ruler Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who reportedly offered him a 16,000sq ft ‘palace’ with six en-suite air-conditioned bedrooms, an indoor gym, pool, cinema and a huge kitchen staffed by cordon bleu chefs.
It is located in a “heavily guarded private complex” where other high-profile people, including sheikhs and government officials, reside.
“The whole area is private and very secure. The public are not allowed in and there are cameras which log every vehicle which approaches,” one of the palace workers revealed, noting the place is “under the radar”.
The source pointed out that they did not hear anything official yet about Andrew moving in the property since the “it is very private”. |
