William and Kate spotlight Earthshot finalists leading the climate charge
Prince William and Princess Kate have chosen green over gossip. Ignoring the ongoing Andrew Mountbatten Windsor saga, the Duke and Duchess of Wales took to Twitter to shine a spotlight on the Earthshot Prize finalists.
In a heartfelt video, the royal couple outlined their vision for the future, “We envision a world that’s a better, more sustainable home for everyone. Advertisement
A world where greenhouse gas emissions are falling, and carbon-neutral economies help protect the most vulnerable. A world like this is within reach.”
The pair proudly presented the finalists for the @EarthshotPrize, a global initiative aimed at tackling climate change and protecting the planet.
Leading the charge is Barbados’ Bridgetown Initiative, spearheaded by Prime Minister Mia Mottley, which is boosting climate and development finance and standing up for billions impacted by the climate crisis.
Next up, Form Energy Inc. is making renewable energy more reliable with iron-air batteries that store power around the clock cost effective, clever, and a grid saver to boot.
And in Bangladesh, Friendship NGO is taking a holistic approach, combining health, education, and climate resilience to protect vulnerable communities, a pioneering blueprint for tackling climate and humanitarian challenges simultaneously.
With Andrew’s royal upheaval dominating headlines, William and Kate are making it clear that some priorities like saving the Earth simply can’t wait. |
