 Princess Anne to honour James Anderson at Windsor
Princess Anne is set to celebrate two very different British icons at Windsor Castle this week, proving that excellence comes in many forms whether it’s swinging a cricket ball at 90 mph or penning timeless pop classics.

The England legend James Anderson may have played his last Test match in 2023 against the West Indies at Lord’s, but the 43 year old fast bowler is far from hanging up his boots.
“A well deserved honour for a cricketing giant,” says Princess Anne ahead of Anderson’s knighthood.
Recognised by former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, a devoted cricket fan himself, holds the record for the most Test wickets ever taken by an English player with 704.
That tally places him third on the all time list, behind only Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan （800） and the late Australian great Shane Warne （708）.
Now, he will add a new title to his list of accolades, \“Sir James Anderson,\“ for his sporting genius in a ceremony befitting his legendary status.
Meanwhile, Graham Gouldman, frontman of the legendary rock band 10cc, is also being honoured, receiving an MBE for services to music.
Gouldman, co-writer of iconic hits like I’m Not In Love and Dreadlock Holiday, has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame alongside Sir Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and Sir Elton John. |
