Fidelity Investments has officially filed for a Bitcoin exchange-traded fund （ETF） as the cryptocurrency\“s price surged past $31,000. This move marks a significant step in the institutional adoption of Bitcoin.
The filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission （SEC） proposes a spot Bitcoin ETF, which would track the actual price of Bitcoin rather than futures contracts. This product aims to provide investors with direct exposure to Bitcoin\“s price movements.
