The Canada Express Entry system is not a lottery but a points-based immigration system that manages applications for permanent residence from skilled workers. The system ranks candidates based on factors such as age, education, work experience, and language proficiency in English or French.
Applicants create an online profile and are entered into the Express Entry pool. They are then ranked against others in the pool using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The highest-ranked candidates are invited to apply for permanent residence through regular draws from the pool.
To improve their chances, candidates can work on increasing their CRS score by improving language test results, gaining more work experience, obtaining a provincial nomination, or securing a valid job offer from a Canadian employer. |
