Last month, the Palace announced that the princely styling of the former Duke of York has been erased and a formal process to evict him from Royal Lodge has also been initiated. Previously, Rob Shuter of ShuterScoop cited a source that the sisters had no warning about their father’s fate and they are “quietly crumbling”.
However, despite their predicament, a report in The Sun revealed that they are making the best out of their unexpected circumstances and rallying behind their mother, Sarah Ferguson, to rebuild her image since it still has some room to salvage unlike their father.
Meanwhile, Mail Online columnist Amanda Platell revealed that Fergie has told her advisors that she wants to “become a leader of the female positivity world”.
Fergie is eyeing number of branding and commercial opportunities as “a mother and philanthropist”.
The mum of two has “always been a grafter and a hard worker and always finds ways of making money and getting out of a hole”, The Sun insider said.
“She has expensive tastes and massive outgoings, but always found a way to make ends meet. Calls from brands may go unanswered right now, but she is still Sarah Ferguson and still a big name.”
Amanda dubbed the whole activity as a “laugh till you cry moment” as Fergie has shown no remorse for her actions which is all the more astonishing.
“She’s shown not a shred of self-awareness or given any inkling she understands how much she is loathed,” she commented.
Hence, it remains to be seen if Beatrice and Eugenie will have the patience to shoulder this mammoth task for their mother.
What will happen to Beatrice and Eugenie royal titles?
There has been speculation about the future of the ‘princess’ titles for Andrew and Fergie’s daughters. As of now, the King has not made any extraordinary announcement for his two nieces and it is understood that they are meant to keep their titles.
Although, there has been growing pressure for the sisters to give up their titles. Royal expert Angella Mollard said that this may be the ideal time for them to gracefully bow out.
She suggested that if Beatrice and Eugenie chose to give to give up their royal titles, it would be seen as it would be seen as a move to show “integrity and public accountability”.
