The Duchess of Sussex shared a delightful video of her family outing at a pumpkin patch on a Sunday as they prepared for spook fest. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet were seen running around and having blast. Advertisement
Prince Harry was seen carving pumpkins and Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland had also joined her son-in-law in the activity.
However, in the clip, which Meghan had realised later, faces of the children were exposed, albeit for mere seconds and blurry, but eagle-eyed watchers had already caught on.
Social media was abuzz with the screenshots of the six-year-old and four-year-old, marking the first time a face photo since they were infants. /wp-content/uploads/2025/10/5969523985693404262.jpg
Hours later, the footage was edited and the Duchess’s communications team was reportedly “scrambling to contain” the matter, according to The Royalist source.
Some pointed out that the incident had taken place just two days prior to a big announcement for As Ever which Meghan had scheduled.
“It’s all a bit too convenient,” one publicist told the outlet. “The clip gets attention, the internet explodes, and suddenly Meghan’s brand rollout is on everyone’s radar.”
Royal Expert Tom Sykes pointed out that the Sussexes’ digital content is famously controlled with “every frame reviewed, every caption weighed” which raises the question over whether this was a slip-up.
There have been mixed reactions, supporters believe that Meghan is just a mother trying to protect her children. Whereas some suggest that Meghan shouldn’t be sharing images of her children in the first place as it all seems like a ploy for engagement and getting more reach.
