Marriage can be hard. Add in busy schedules, media attention, public opinion, and the scrutiny of fame, and it doesn\“t exactly set up celebrities for ideal relationship conditions. So when celebrity relationships stand the test of time, it is truly something to admire. ️️ I always thought Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban would be one of those Hollywood couples that stood the test of time. So after 19 years of marriage, I was shocked to learn that divorce papers had been filed this fall. When I first saw the tabloid headline, I brushed it off as clickbait — just another rumour to stir up the internet （like the fall stew I\“m brewing atm.） But unfortunately, it’s true. And honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever recover.

They married in 2006 and even share two daughters together. After almost two decades of marriage, sources say the split is allegedly amicable — or at least when it comes to litigation and severing assets. However, sources claim Nicole is heartbroken and tried to save the marriage. The divorce was reportedly initiated by Keith, leaving Nicole blindsided. Honestly, I just want Nicole to be happy.

️️ Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness were the couple that made me believe hot, talented people could also be kind, loyal, and family-oriented. Of course, we can never truly know what goes on behind closed doors, but from the public’s point of view, they always seemed like the live-and-die-for-each-other type of romance. So when I heard the news that their 27-year marriage was coming to an end, I clutched my pearls and questioned reality.

Although the internet is buzzing with speculation — from betrayal to busy schedules and everything in between — nothing has been confirmed. All we know is what they said in their statement: “Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.“ Please, Deb, write a book. I need answers.
3. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Dia Dipasupil / FilmMagic
🪮 I was surprised when Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom got together — and somehow, just as surprised when they split up. Everything about their coupling （and uncoupling） felt sudden and a little random to me. Although they never married, the couple （of nearly ten years） share their daughter, Daisy Bloom. （Such a cute name IMO.）

After rumours of busy schedules and growing distance, the couple confirmed their breakup in June 2025, officially ending their six-year engagement. A source said Katy Perry allegedly feels a sense of relief that she doesn’t have to face another divorce — as her first one with Russell Brand was one of the toughest chapters of her life.

️️ Jessica Alba and Cash Warren have been together for 20 years and married for 16, so I was floored to hear that this longtime couple called it quits. The two first met on the set of Fantastic Four in 2004, and a few years later, they eloped when Jessica was nine months pregnant with their first daughter. Honestly, I love that kind of passion.

But after three children and two decades together, Jessica filed for divorce in February of this year. I must admit, their joint statement is remarkably similar to the one made by Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness after their split. Here is the statement from Cash and Jessica: “It\“s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals. We are moving forward with love and kindness and respect for each other, and will forever be family.“
5. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Axelle / Bauer-Griffin / FilmMagic
I don’t know if anyone was really shocked by this one. Sure, it was adorable watching Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck find their way back to each other after all those years — but sadly, Bennifer 2.0 didn’t go the distance. Their first run, from 2002 to 2004, ended in a broken engagement, and while their second engagement finally led to marriage, it lasted just two and a half years before divorce papers were signed.

Jennifer filed for divorce at the end of 2024, and by January 2025, it was official. As sad as it is to watch two people fall out of love a second time, Ben said: “There’s no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue. It’s just a story about people trying to figure out their lives and relationships in ways that we all sort of normally do.”

🪮 I have to admit, I didn’t even realize Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson were a couple. So maybe my real shock is discovering they were together for eight years — including an engagement! They were so private, barely ever photographed together, so I can forgive myself for missing the news.

This is literally how private this couple was. This is the only paparazzi photo of them together — and even then, it barely even counts as a photo of the two of them. As mysterious as their relationship was, so was its ending. A source revealed that the split felt final in June 2025. But Dakota Johnson confirmed the rumours after being spotted without her engagement ring the same month. Chris Martin kept things classy — telling his stadium full of fans to be kind to one another, while also giving a shoutout to his ex’s movie The Materialists and encouraging everyone to go see it.

️️ Lily Allen and David Harbour’s romance feels like a whirlwind. They met on the celebrity dating app Raya in the summer of 2019, and by fall 2020, they were married — Las Vegas-style, with an Elvis impersonator and everything, which just feels so them.

Then, after four years of marriage, they decided to call it quits last February. All we know is that Lily is allegedly devastated and struggling to find a good place emotionally. And honestly, same, girl. This was a pairing I genuinely thought would last the long haul.

🪮 Country superstar Kelsea Ballerini and actor Chase Stokes have called it quits after almost three years of dating. Which honestly feels like a disservice to the next generation — a baby with those genetics would’ve been unstoppable.

We don’t know much. What we do know is that Chase publicly wished Kelsea a happy birthday on Instagram just two days before their split, and Kelsea made a （now taken down） TikTok using Ariana Grande’s “Shut Up” after the split— clearly hinting she doesn’t want to talk about it. Beyond that, all we know is that it’s over…and while the next generation definitely took a loss, they at least have a fighting chance in the looks department.

Honestly, what surprised me most was how long reality stars JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez stayed together. I expected it to be a quick fling after Love Island wrapped, but they surprised me with a year-long relationship.

We found out at the end of July, when JaNa wiped all photos of Kenny from her socials and hit that unfollow button — sending fan theories into a full spiral. While we don’t know the exact reason, JaNa did say it was for “terrible, disgusting, and disappointing” ones. So yeah…we can only guess.
13. Adam Lambert and Oliver Gliese Bruce Glikas / Getty Images
🪮 It wasn’t just a year of celeb breakups — it was the summer of celeb breakups. Adam Lambert and Oliver Gliese were together for almost four years, Adam even saying that Oliver inspired his music: “I’ve been able to have a bit more of a personal life for a little while, and I’m in an amazing relationship, and we socialise a lot and put on a lot of parties, and we go out, and I just wanted to make music that sort of reflected that experience, that reflected that reality.“

But as for drama, there isn\“t much to say about how it ended... Sources say it was an amicable, clean, drama-free split — it just ran its course and fizzled out over time. But after nearly four years of serving on the red carpet, it’s going to take us a while to fill that void.
